ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG BERHUBUNGAN DENGAN KEMANDIRIAN IBU 6 JAM POSTPARTUM DALAM PERAWATAN DIRI DAN BAYI DI PUSKESMAS KAJEN II KABUPATEN PEKALONGAN

The postpartum period is a critical period for both mother and baby. 70% of postpartum mothers do not receive postpartum care and self-care components of postpartum mother are often ignored.
Aim of this study was to know factors relating Self-Mother 6 hours of postpartum in personal and infant care at the Puskesmas Kajen II Pekalongan District.
This study used cross-sectional design with a sample size of 31 mothers 6 hours postpartum with accidental sampling technique. Data were collected by enumerators using the questionnaire and observational check list. Data were analyzed by contingency coefficient and rank-spearman test.
Result of the study showed that 87.1% of the 6-hour postpartum mothers were 20-35 years old, 64.5% were middle-educated, 90.3% were un-employed, 74.2% were multiparous, 58.1% were knowledgeable, and 90.3 % of families support. The age factor (p: 0.043), education (p: 0.045), and family support (p: 0.012) related the mother's independence of 6 hours postpartum in self-care and infant. While the employment and parity factors did not relate to independence of the 6-hour postpartum mother in self-care and her baby (p: 1,000; p: 0.154 respectively).
From the results of the study concluded that factors relating the mother's independence 6 hours postpartum in self-care and infant are age, education, knowledge, and family support. Midwives are expected to educate postpartum mothers to improve their knowledge of 6-hour self-reliance in self-care and infants.
