EFEKTIFITAS PEMBERIAN TOPIKAL ASI UNTUK PENYEMBUHAN LUKA PERINEUM

Physiological changes that occur during the puerperium include one change in the perineum. From the preliminary studies that have been conducted, data obtained in 5 Independent Midwife Practices (PMB) in the Semarang region found that 70% of deliveries occurred in the perineum caused by the medical workers. From the data on the seventh day after delivery, 11% of the perineal wounds were still wet and 3% were infected. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of topical breast milk for healing perineal wounds.
This research method uses Quasi Experiment research with a pre-test post-test control group design approach. The sample size is 40 postpartum mothers performed in October 2018 - Juli 2019. The sampling technique uses accidental sampling. Data collection tools with observation sheets are in the form of REEDA forms. The Data analysis is using Mann Whitney Test.
The results showed that Topical breast milk was more effective in healing perineal wounds at 24 hours with p value 0.014 and p value 0.004 on day 4 with the healing of perineal wounds the fastest on day 4 and the longest at day 9 and the average healing time are 6 days .
From the results of this study, the writers expect that it will be a valuable contribution in providing information and taking policy regarding the healing of perineal wounds during the puerperium.
