Background, Febrile seizures are seizures that occur due to the increase in rectal body
temperature above 38ºC which is a neurological disorder that is most commonly found
in children, it is mainly in the age range 4 months to 4 years. Based on the data
obtained from medical records in PHC Dempet 2017 patients the incidence of febrile
seizures amounting to 5.3% of pediatric patients treated in inpatient health centers
Dempet as many as 377 children. especially in the inpatient unit discovered pediatric
patients with febrile seizures as many as 20 children mainly in children aged 1-3 years
is 15 children.
Objective, to Nursing Meeting the Needs of Security in Children with Fever Seizures
in Puskesmas Dempet, Demak
Methods, the research design is a case study, with descriptive writing methods.
Result, shows the fulfillment of the need for security to the client from the time of
nursing care for 3x24 hours the client is free from the risk of falling, no injury is found.
And the family already understands how to treat and prevent febrile seizures in
children.
Conclusion, indicates problem disorder recurrent seizures security risks and lack of
knowledge regarding the handling of febrile convulsions familyon both the client can
be resolved in accordance with the outcomes370C 360C- body temperature, pulse 100-
110x / min, composmentis awareness, children are not fussy, and families are able to
participate in the nursing process.
Suggestion, approach to the family can support a complete data acquisition so that it
can reach the nursing care on optimal child febrile seizures.
