ANALISIS FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PEMBERIAN ASI EKSKLUSIF OLEH IBU MULTIPARA

One program to lower the infant mortality rate that is recommended that the baby gets breast milk exclusively. In addition, various studies have shown the benefits of breast feeding for the mother or baby, they are the protection against the risk of infection in infants, to optimize cognitive development of children, as well as reduce the risk of breast cancer and ovarian cancer. Based on previous research that has been done in the Padangsari clinic, there were 44 mothers who have children aged over 6 months in December 2017. 30% of these mothers stated do not provide exclusive breast milk to their children. There were several things that affect the number of breast feeding exclusively by nursing mothers, they are the education of the mother, the mother's knowledge about exclusive breast milk, the job of the mother and family support. The objective of this research is to know the relationship of education, knowledge, work, and family support with breast feeding exclusively by multiparous mothers at work-area of Padangsari clinic year 2018.
The type of this research is observational analytic with cross sectional approach. The researcher used a stratified random sampling technique in the research. Collecting the data, the researcher used the questionnaire. Analyzing the data, the researcher used descriptive analysis and test analysis of correlation of Spearman Rho.
Based on result of the statisfical test of factors affecting exclusive breast milk, it is known that the educational factor (p=0,002 r=0,368), knowledge factor (p=0,024 r=0,272), the factor of employment status (p=0,528 r=0,077), the factor of family support (p=0,071 r=0,218).
Based on the research, there was a relationship between education and knowledge about breast feeding exclusively by multiparous mothers. However, there was no relationship between work and family support against breast feeding exclusively by multiparous mother at work-area of Padangsari clinic.
