Each medical record document has been used from inpatient must be immediately returned to the assembling unit within 2x24 hours. In practice the process of returning the inpatient medical record documents in Semarang regional public hospital still experiencing delays. In the initial survey which had conducted by researcher, Perinatology ward quarter II- IV 2015, increased delays in the return of medical record documents on a quarterly basis. The purpose of this research is to know the time management of inpatient medical record documents return in Perinatology wards in Semarang regional public hospital in 2016.
This type of research is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Subjects in this research were assembling officer, admin Perinatology ward, nurses of Perinatology ward, and Head of Installation Medical Record. Objects in this study was a recapitulation of the return of inpatient medical record documents Perinatology wards 2016. Data collection mechanism was done by observation, interviews, and documentation.
Time management of inpatient medical record documents return of Perinatology ward in Semarang regional public hospital 2016 increased delays on the return in the medical record document of each month with a percentage of 60.60% in January, February and March was 60.80% and 61.00% each. Late return of medical record documents occured because of the incompleteness of the filling document medical records by doctors and nurses who did not immediately fill out the document medical records after providing care to the patient, the lack of the time needed by nurses for documenting made the nurses forgot to completed the documents, lack of socialization on Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) return of medical record documents, and administrative wards not searched for doctors and nurses to completed the medical record documents were still incomplete.
