Health care facilities are responsible for protecting the health information
contained in medical records to the possibility of lost, damage, forgery and
unauthorized access. Overall, the security, privacy, confidentially, and safety are
deviced that shield information in medical record. One of the issues contained in
the release of medical information of patients in RSUD Kota Semarang have not
yet used written permission and documentation optimally of medical records
release of information to a third party. The research aims to describe procedures of
the release patient medical information in ensuring the legal aspects of
confidentially of medical records in RSUD Kota Semarang
Reseacrh methods in this research use descriptive with qualitative approach
aims to describe the release of patient medical information in RSUD Kota
Semarang in ensuring the legal aspects of confidentially of medical records.
Research subjects in this study were all release procedures patient medical
information to a third party with univariate data analysis and presentation of data
in narrative form and checklist results of observation.
Research shows that RSUD Kota Semarang possessed 3 procedures release
medical record information, but the release procedures for medical information
that has been made yet to run optimally. Parties involved in the process of the
releas of patient medical information is the installation of education and training,
medical record installation, installation of outpatient, installation of emergency,
and installation of inpatient. The use of written consent in each release medical
records of patient have not been implemented optimally. Therefore, it is necessary
to re-sociallization related to removal procedures of patient medical information,
so that officers better understand the importance of using written permission to a
third party in order to minimize the fall of patient medical information to those
who are not responsible.
