Pregnancy, chidbirth, postpartum and newborn is a physiological state but in the process there is the posibility, of a life-threatening situation of mothers and babies can increase the amount of morbidity and mortality of mothers and babies. MMR and IMR in Indonesia is still high compared to it in other ASEAN countries. Based on the Indonesian Demographic Health Survey GDHS) in 2012 showed that the maternal mortality rate (MMR) in Indonesia is 359 /100,000 live births and the infant mortality rate (IMR) of 32/ 1 ,000 live births.
The studi is the final writing report as in study case form using obstretric management approach 7 steps varney and documented in the form of SOAP.
The research result obtained a women G2P1A0 diagnose gestasional age 38 weeks physiological, with complaints of frequent urinating. Followed by physiological childbirth and postnatal, not comlpaints. In childbirth care, found the gap between theory and clinical practice that PPE using incomplete. In the newborn baby care there is no gap between theory and cilincal practice.
The conclusion of the report of this task is that on the midwifery implementation there are discrepancies between theory and clinical practice, such as the midwife doesn’t use PPE completely in the childbirth care. Therefor it is suggestion to be able to use the full PPE as self protection.
