GAMBARAN PENGETAHUAN MENYIKAT GIGI TERHADAP DEBRIS INDEKS PADA PASIEN PENGGUNA ALAT ORTODONTI CEKAT DI KLINIK PURI CEMPAKA SEMARANG

In patients who are receiving orthodontic treatment, oral hygiene is important. Poor dental and oral hygiene in patients using fixed or removable orthodontic aircraft will greatly affect the treatment of orthodontics itself. Knowledge is one of the factors to influence the level of hygiene in patients who use fixed orthodontic devices. The purpose of this study was to find out the picture of brushing knowledge against index debris in patients who use fixed orthodontic devices at Puri Cempaka Clinic Semarang.
This type of research is descriptive quantitative with a cross-sectional approach. Data collection using questionnaires and examinations directly at Puri Cempaka Clinic Semarang with a total sample of 66 people with the purposive sampling data collection method.
The results showed that respondents with sufficient levels of knowledge who had a bad debris score were 37 people (71%). None of the respondents with a lack of knowledge had a good debris score. From the data, it shows that the level of knowledge about dental health is sufficient to have a bad debris score in patients who use fixed orthodontic devices at Puri Cempaka Clinic Semarang.
