PROSEDUR PEMERIKSAAN SHOULDER JOINT DENGAN KLINIS FROZEN SHOULDER DI INSTALASI RADIOLOGI RS PKU MUHAMMADIYAH KARANGANYAR

ABSTRACT
Radiographic examination of the shoulder joint with clinical frozen shoulder at the Radiology Installation of PKU Muhammadiyah Karanganyar Hospital using the AP Thorax projection with both shoulders visible. Meanwhile, according to (Lampignano and Kendrick, 2018) using projections of AP Internal Rotation and AP External Rotation. This study aims to determine the procedure for examining the shoulder joint radiography and to find out the reasons for using the AP Thorax projection with both shoulders visible on the shoulder joint radiographic examination with clinical frozen shoulder at the Radiology Installation of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Karanganyar.
This type of research uses qualitative research with a case study approach. Collecting data by means of observation, in-depth interviews with radiographers, radiologists, and sending doctors as well as documentation studies. This research took place at the Radiology Installation of PKU Muhammadiyah Karanganyar Hospital in March - April 2022 using four stages of data analysis, namely data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions.
The results showed that the radiographic examination of the shoulder joint with clinical frozen shoulder at the Radiology Installation of PKU Muhammadiyah Karanganyar Hospital used Thorax AP projection with both shoulders visible with the patient preparing to release metal objects around the shoulder which could cause artifacts and provide an explanation regarding the examination to be carried out. The position of the patient is standing in front of the bucky stand with the back against the cassette and the two joints in the irradiation area. MSP body perpendicular to the cassette.
The use of the AP Thorax projection with both shoulders was seen on radiographic examination of the shoulder joint with clinical frozen shoulder at the Radiology Installation of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Karanganyar was able to establish the diagnosis because it was sufficient to show abnormalities in the shoulder joint, namely narrowing of the glenohumeral joint gap.
