PENERAPAN SLOW STROKE BACK MASSAGE UNTUK MENURUNKAN TEKANAN DARAH PADA KLIEN HIPERTENSI DI RUANG SADEWA 4 RSD K.R.M.T WONGSONEGORO KOTA SEMARANG

Background : Hypertensive patients who experience an increase in blood pressure that occurs from grade 1: mild hypertension to grade 2: moderate hypertension. So far, the action taken is by giving pharmacological therapy, namely drugs when the client experiences an increase in blood pressure. But sometimes there are patients who still complain of increased blood pressure. An effective action to lower blood pressure is the application of Slow Stroke Back Massage (SSBM). Slow Stroke Back Massage (SSBM) using massage action on the back or shoulders with gentle strokes will lower blood pressure.
Purpose of writing : Knowing the management of blood pressure in hypertensive patients by giving Slow Stroke Back Massage (SSBM)
Method : This application was carried out in Room Sadewa 4 RSD K.R.M.T Wongsonegoro Semarang City in 2022. This writing used a descriptive method. The number of samples is 3 respondents. Data was collected using a digital tension device and observation sheets which were measured before giving the action and after giving the action. Applications are carried out for three days a week.
Results : There is a decrease in blood pressure in hypertensive patients after being given the application of Slow Stroke Back Massage (SSBM) for 3-10 minutes
Recommendation : Based on this, it is recommended to the hospital to take advantage of the results of the application of this Ners final assignment in making standard operating procedures (SOP) for the provision of Slow Stroke Back Massage (SSBM) to hypertensive clients who experience increased blood pressure.
