PENGEMBANGAN INSTRUMEN PREDIKTOR RISIKO GAGAL GINJAL PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS TIPE 2

Background: Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM) is categorized a chronic disease that occurs due to degradation of insulin secretion by the pancreas gland. Instrumental development constitutes an activity to generate or to design a new instrument as the main product.
Aims: This research aimed at developing a predictor instrument in a form of questionnaire in order to detect kidney failure risk on T2DM patients.
Method: The research belonged to R&D, especially in true-experimental design. Further, post-test only control group design was applied, with non-probability sampling technique. Purposive random sampling technique was also applied, with the sample size of 50 respondents in total and intervention respondents manifesting the control respondents as well.
Results: According to validity test on the instrument, it was found that CVI constituted 0.93, with reliability value of 0.75 and considered high. Sensitivity rate was 100%, while specificity rate did 88%. In terms of KFRS instrument, the average was identified at 17.74, with risk percentage among patients constituting 100%. Furthermore, in SCORED instrument, the average showed 5.04, with risk percentage of 84%.
Conclusion: The KFRS instrument worked effectively to detect kidney failure risk.
