According to data on the percentage of the population aged 15 years and over who smoked in thelast mont, (2019) according to districts/cities in Central Java province, Banjarmegara Regency is ranked 4th after Purbalingga City and Banyumas whose percentage is 37.055%, which means most of the population of Banjaenegara city, especially Male adults aged 20-5 years are active smokers (BPS. Central Java). This study aims to determine the difference between tartar in active smokers and non-smokers.
This type of research uses a quantitative descriptive design, which analyzes the data by displaying an understanding of the characteristics of the data in the form of numbers. The reseaecher conducts research using a cross sectional approach which is a momentary study. The population of the study were active smokers and non-smokers in Bawang Village, Banjaernegara regency aged 20-50 years with a total of 50 respondents. The measuring instruments in this study are index calculus scores and examination sheets. The data is displayed in tabulated form which is then drawn conclusions.
The results of the research show that the result of the examination show that of the 25 active smokers in bawang Village, Banjaenegara regency in 2022, there are 13 respondents who are classified as poor criteria. The everage calculus score for active smokers is 1,6 with moderate criteria and the everage score for non-smokers is 1,1 with good criteria. It is hoped that the Bawang Villahe community, specially the active smokers community, will dig deeper into the dangers of smoking on dental an oral diseases and it is necessary to hold smoing cessation counseling, which provides information about the dangers of smoking and various deseases caused by it and provides assistance to parties who want to quit smoking.
