PERANAN SEKUEN 2D THICK SLAB DAN 3D NAVIGATORPADA PEMERIKSAAN MAGNETIC RESONANCE CHOLANGIOPANCREATOGRAPHY (MRCP) PADA KASUS CHOLELITHIASIS (LITERATUR REVIEW)
XMLCholelithiasis is the most common pathology found in the biliary system. MRCP is a non-invasive examination that can visualize abnormality of the biliary system. Based on the Westbrook theory and several articles, there are differences of the sequences used, which is the 2D thick slab sequence with the breath hold method and the 3D navigator sequence with the triggered method, so it is necessary to study further about the role of 2D thick Slab and 3D Navigator sequences in MRCP examination in diagnosing Cholelithiasis. This study aims to determine the results of MRCP imaging on 2D Thick Slab and 3D Navigator sequences of Cholelithiasis cases and the role of 2D thick Slab and 3D Navigator sequences on MRCP examination in Cholelithiasis diagnosing.
The research design is descriptive with a literature review study approach with a literature research using the search engines of google scholar, springer and research gate with the keywords mrcp examination, cholelithiasis. Searching restriction for full-text articles in English published from 2011 to 2021 with the results were relevant to the inclusion criteria (n=9) presented in tabulated form and used as guidelines in this study.
The results of this study indicate the image on 3D navigator triggered sequences with thin slice thickness that can be reconstructed in MIP form are better to 2D thick slab sequence at visualizing 2 mm cholelithiasis and overall have higher image quality in visualizing intrahepatic ducts. This sequences have a reliable role in diagnosing cholelithiasis because they have very high sensitivity, accuracy and specificity in detecting cholelithiasis.
