PERBANDINGAN TEKNIK RADIOTERAPI 2D, 3D DAN IMRT PADA KANKER NASOFARING
XMLNasopharyngeal Carcinoma (NPC) is a malignancy that appears in the nasopharynx (the area above the throat and back of the nose) and increasingly advanced radiodiagnostic modalities allow NPC radiation techniques from 2DRT to 3DCRT and then IMRT.
In preparing the research, the author uses a descriptive qualitative type of research with a Literature Review approach. Sources of data in this study were obtained through Google Scholar, Repository and Pubmed. Research articles published in 2010-2021, this study relates to 2D, 3D and IMRT Radiotherapy Techniques in Nasopharyngeal Cancer, complete journal articles containing the names of researchers, publishers, publications and contents to the bibliography.
The 2DRT NPC technique consists of 2 phases. Phase I consists of a pair of large opposing-lateral faciocervical fields, which include the entire primary tumor and upper neck lymph nodes in one field, and one anterior field for the lower neck lymph nodes. 3DCRT NPC, a Computed Tomography (CT) application for simulation and advancement of a computerized Treatment Planning System (TPS), enables the transformation of 2DRT techniques into 3DCRT and advances the results of NPC radiation therapy. In the IMRT technique, CT Simulation is performed and In the IMRT technique, CT Simulation and immobilization are performed similar to the 3DCRT technique. If possible, the shoulder is also immobilized to ensure accurate daily patient set up.
