Prosedur Pemeriksaan Radiografi Clavicula Dengan Klinis Fraktur Pada Anak

The procedure for radiographic examination of the clavicle with clinical fractures in children has many variations of projections used. The purpose of this study was to determine the procedure for radiographic examination of the clavicle in children, the projections used and the advantages of each projection.
This research is a case series with descriptive qualitative research type. Data were collected through Google Scholar, Pubmed, Mendeley with the keywords clavicle radiography, clinical fracture in children. Then the analysis was carried out by comparing the contents of the journal articles obtained with the existing literature.
The results showed that the radiographic examination procedure of the clavicle with clinical fractures in children was carried out with the patient in the supine position if the patient was uncooperative and the patient in an erect position if the patient was cooperative. The projections used in the radiographic examination of clinical clavicle fractures in children are Anterior Posterior (AP), Anterior Posterior (AP) Upright, and Anterior Posterior (AP) axial. The AP projection is used to show the clavicle as a whole from the anterior side and to show the fracture of the clavicle superiorly and inferiorly. The AP Upright projection is used to diagnose fractures of the clavicle, and to avoid angulation of the radiographs. The AP axial projection is used to show the clavicle as a whole and shows the distance of fracture displacement significantly so that it can help assess clavicle shortening.
