The use of high doses of radiation in radiotherapy can have a side effect and injury to normal tissue (Organ At Risk – OAR). The OARs for breast cancer is lung and heart. Radiotherapy planning can be done computerized or computerized Treatment Planning System (TPS). The aims to provide optimal radiation dose tumor tissue and minimal dose to healthy tissue. QUANTEC states that the radiation dose that can be received by lungs of breast cancer patient is V20 30%, meaning that only a maximum of 30% of the lung volume can receive radiation at a dose of 2000 cGy. The purpose of this study was to determine the lung dose analysis in cases of post-mastectomy breast cancer using 3D conformal radiotherapy.
This type of research is descriptive quantitative. Data collection was carried out in June 2021 at Ken Saras Hospital, Semarang Regency. The sample in this study used 30 data from post-modified radical mastectomy (MRM) breast cancer patients. The data obtained in the form of the results of the Treatment Planning System (TPS). The data obtained will be displayed in tabular form, then analysis is carried out.
The result of this study showed that 20 patients received a supraclavicular PTV dose that was less than 95% with a percentageof 66,7% while 10 patients received a supraclavicular PTV dose in the range of 95% - 107% with a percentage 33,3% and 25 patients received a dose of PTV chest that is less than 95% with a percentage of 83,3% while 5 patients received dose of PTV chest in the range of 95% – 107% with a percentage of 16,7%, the optimal PTV dose limit is 95% - 107%. In the study, the were 30 patients with lung volumes who received a dose of 2000 cGy and the mean dose of all patients was less than 2000 cGy meeting the limits set by QUANTEC.
