PERANAN HEAD COIL DAN DUAL LOOP COIL PADA PEMERIKSAAN MRI WRIST JOINT

MRI examination can detect several abnormalities in the Wrist Joint, to get optimal result, technique and parameters are used according to Wrist Joint examination, one of which is the use of the right coil. In the MRI wrist joint examination there are several types of coil used, including the Head Coil and Dual Loop Coil. This study aims to determine the role of the use of the type of Coil between Head Coil and Dual Loop Coil on MRI wrist joint examination. This type of research is qualitative with a Study Literature Review approach on the role of Head Coil and Dual Loop Coil on MRI wrist joint examination. The data collection method used in this paper is the documentation method. The data used in this research is secondary data. The main sources of this study are the three journals that researchers found discussing MRI wrist joint examinations using Head Coil and Dual Loop Coil. For data collection taken from google search sources with MRI Wrist Joint keywords using head coil, google scholar with MRI Wrist keywords, and the American Journal of Roentgenology with MRI of Wrist keywords. Data processing is done by making a description, journal summary and critical evaluation.
The results obtained are the use of the Head Coil type in the MRI Wrist Joint examination, where the Wrist Joint will be evaluated in real time and use several movements to evaluate abnormalities such as the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ), carpal bones due to falls or due to excessive loads on the Wrist Joint. Whereas the use of the Dual Loop Coil type does not use some of the movements that occur during the examination but can produce a better image for evaluating soft tissue and carpal, this type of coil can increase SNR because it is closer to the object to be examined.
