PROSEDUR PEMERIKSAAN BABYGRAM PADA KLINIS PNEUMONIA (STUDI LITERATUR)

Pneumonia is a form of an acute respiratory infection that attacks the lungs. Babygram is a radiological examination in infants that produces radiographs from the thorax to symphysis pubis. Pediatric radiography has procedures that differentiate it from adult patients such as patient preparation, tool preparation and fixation, and radiation protection. Projections used for babygram examination are Anteroposterior and lateral with dorsal decubitus position. Based on the four reviewed literature there are different projections used in the babygram examination and from the two reviewed literature there are different sizes of tapes used. The purpose of this study was to determine the Babygram Examination Procedure with clinical Pneumonia According to Theoretical Studies.
This type of research is a qualitative descriptive study with a literature study approach. Data was collected in April-May 2020 through Google Scholar, PubMed, and repositories with keywords Babygram, Pneumonia, AnteroPosterior and Lateral Projection. Data analysis was performed by analyzing literature sources.
The results of the study stated that for the Babygram Examination procedure there were no special preparations, preparation of tools and materials namely X-ray aircraft, Imaging Plate size adjusting the patient's age, for neonates using size 18x24 cm, Image Console, IP Reader, Printer. An appropriate and effective projection on radiographic examination of a babygram with clinical pneumonia is the AnteroPosterior and Lateral projection. Radiation protection uses minimum time and does not repeat photos. Clinically pneumonia should be performed with AnteroPosterior and lateral projections because with the addition of Lateral projections it can add diagnostic information and be able to show the location and extent of pneumonia.
