INFORMASI ANATOMI ANTARA PHASE ENCODING DIRECTION ANTERIOR-POSTERIOR DAN SUPERIOR-INFERIOR MRI CERVICAL T2 TSE POTONGAN SAGITAL PADA KASUS HNP (STUDI LITERATUR)
XMLHernia Nucleus Pulposus (HNP) cervical is the result of a change in the position of the nucleus pulposus on the intervertebral discs, to diagnose HNP needs MRI examination. On MRI Cervical T2 TSE of sagittal section often found ghosting artifacts caused by anatomic movements during image acquisition. There is a method to minimize artifacts by swapping the phase encoding direction. In the sagittal section there are two choices of phase encoding direction, namely anterior-posterior and superior-inferior. This study aims to determine the differences in anatomy image information and observe which one is better between the phase encoding direction anterior-posterior and superior-inferior MRI Cervical T2 TSE sagittal section in HNP case.
This research is a descriptive study with the Study Literature Review (SLR) approach. Collecting and analyzing the journals by selecting articles related to the implementation of phase encoding direction on MRI Cervical. The journals collected are reduced based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Four journals were deemed relevant as sources of literature for analysis.
The results of this study indicating the differences in anatomical image information between the application of phase encoding direction anterior-posterior and superior-inferior MRI Cervical T2 TSE sagittal section in HNP cases. Better anatomical image information is obtained by applying superior-inferior phase encoding directions.
