The T1WI SE / TSE axial sequence is the main protocol that can show good anatomic and pathological information and is more easily assessed on T1 weighting. In the experience of the Field Work Practice at the Premier Surabaya Hospital, MRI brain examinations, especially on the T1 axial section using inversion recovery (IR) are still newly used, according to Moeller and Reif (2003) for MRI brain axial weighting T1 pieces on the MRI brain examination using T1 Weighted Image Spin Echo. Is there a difference in the anatomical information of MRI Brain sequence T1 Spin Echo (SE) and T1 Inversion Recovery (IR) on axial sections. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in anatomic information of axial brain pieces and better anatomical information between the T1 Spin Echo (SE) and T1 Inversion Recovery (IR) sequences on MRI axial brain pieces.
This type of research is experimental with a sample of 10 patients, in this study the data generated in the form of ordinal data which will then be processed and analyzed using the Cohen's Kappa test to determine the level of agreement / reliability of the results of radiological observations and then processed statistically using the Wilcoxon Test to determine there are anatomical information differences between the sequences T1 Spin Echo (SE) and T1 Investment Recovery (IR). And determine the most optimal sequence in showing the anatomy of the brain seen the mean rank from the Wilcoxon signed ranks analysis test.
The results of this study are that there are differences in anatomic information between the T1 Spin Echo (SE) and T1 Inversion Recovery (IR) sequences with a p-value of 0.001 (
