TINJAUAN ASPEK KEAMANAN REKAM MEDIS DI RUANG PENYIMPANAN RAWAT JALAN PUSKESMAS KALIKAJAR PURBALINGGA

Medical records must be stored and maintained in order to avoid the danger of damage and loss. Based on a preliminary study in the medical record storage room at the Puskesmas (Public Health Center of) Kalikajar Purbalingga Public Health Center, there are problems regarding the safety of the medical records include the absence of locks for sliding door between the storage room and the registration room, no fire extinguisher yet, no air conditioner to regulate temperature, and the windows are not fortified with security iron bars. This study aims to describe the security aspects of documents in the outpatient medical record storage room at Puskesmas Kalikajar Purbalingga.
This research is a descriptive study using the case study research method. The subjects of this study were the Head of the Puskesmas, the Head of Administration, and the Medical Record Officer at the Puskesmas Kalikajar Purbalingga, and the object was the medical record storage room. Data collection methods by observation and interview.
The results showed problems in the physical safety aspects of medical records, which are the absence of surveillance cameras (CCTV), locks of the sliding door between the storage room and the registration room, air conditioner to regulate temperature, and fire extinguisher in the medical record storage room, history of documents damaged by rats has been solved by closing the bottom of the door opening. Access to the rooms has been controlled and limited by posting the words "Staff Only", expedition book that can track whoever borrowed the documents, and also the standard operational procedures regarding access to medical records. But in practice, there are still officers that trespassing the medical record storage room. It is recommended to procure facilities and infrastructure as well as supervision to maintain the security of physical aspects and the right of access to medical records.
