Research has been done on the testing of Toshiba X-ray collimator type DRX-1603B in the Radiology Installation of Roemani Muhammadiyah Hospital Semarang with the test parameters being the illumination test, shutter test, and alignment test and the accuracy of the collimator light usage. The purpose of this study was to study the results of the collimator test and to find out the results of this collimator test were still within the acceptance limit according to the established regulations.
This type of research is quantitative research using descriptive research. Data collection was carried out in April - May 2019 in the Radiology Installation of Roemani Muhammadiyah Hospital in Semarang with testing, observation and documentation methods. The population in this study was the collimator of the Toshiba DRX-1603B X-ray while the sample used in this study was the collimation test with illumination test, shutter test, and alignment test and accuracy of the collimator light test. Observation data is processed and analyzed so that conclusions can be drawn directly.
The results showed that the research on collimator illumination lamps, the collimator's light strength produced 91.5 lux. In the collimator shutter test, there is blackening on a radiograph measuring 7.04 cm on the vertical side and 4.4 cm on the horizontal side. Based on the alignment test and the accuracy of the collimator beam, the results of the collimation field alignment test are X1 + X2 = 1 cm and Y1 + Y2 = 0.7 cm from FFD 100 cm and X1 + X2 = 1.39 cm and Y1 + Y2 = 1, 51 cm from FFD 135 cm. Then the results of the X-ray center accuracy test, namely the amount of X-ray center deviation in 100 cm FFD is 2.10 and in FFD 135 cm is 2.30
