ANALISIS PERUBAHAN UKURAN FOV TERHADAP KUALITAS CITRA PADA SEKUEN T2 FRFSE MRI LUMBAL POTONGAN AXIAL DENGAN KASUS HERNIATED NUKLEUS PULPOSUS (HNP)

Field of View (FOV) is one of the parameters in MRI, the FOV size setting tends to be glued to the available routine protocols. Moewardi Hospital use FOV 18 cm x 18 cm. Westbrook et al (2011) FOV sizes are divided into three: small (30 cm). This study aims to analyzsis the influence between FOV size changes to image quality, and to know the right size on T2 sequence of FRFSE MRI Lumbar axial slice with Herniated Nucleus Pulposus (HNP).
The type of research is a quantitative with experimental approach. The study was conducted by MRI GE 1.5 Tesla at Moewardi Hospital. The data were obtained from 10 Lumbar MRI patients with herniated nucleus pulposus (HNP) with variations of FOV 18 cm x 18 cm, 23 cm x 23 cm, 28 cm x 28 cm, 33 cm x 33 cm and 38 cm x 38 cm. For the assessment of SNR and CNR do region of interest (ROI) in the area Corpus Vertebrae, Discus Intervertebralis, CSF, Cauda Equina, Ligamentum Flavum, and Facet Joint. Data were tested with Shapiro Wilk for normality of data, then linear regression test.
