PENGUJIAN LEAD APRON DENGAN MENGGUNAKAN METODE RADIOGRAFI DI INSTALASI RADIOLOGI RUMAH SAKIT ISLAM
XMLTESTING LEAD APRON USING METODHE RADIOGRAPHY AT RADIOLOGY INSTALATION OF KLATEN ISLAMIC HOSPITAL

ABSTRACT
Lead apron is a radiation protection equipment must be tasted every 6 mount. In Radiology Installation of Klaten Islamic Hospital, one test had been carried out once in 2018. The result is that one lead apron is damaged in the form of holes and tears. However, damage to the apron is not measured the amount of damage, and until now the apron is still in use. This aim of the research are to know treatment of lead apron, test result of lead apron, and worthiness of lead apron.
The type of this research is quantitative research with survey approach conducted by observation, documentation, testing and measuring. Tests were carried out using conventional X-ray and processing data using Computed Radiography and metal rulers. The lead apron which is damaged in the form of holes, fractures or tears more than 3,14 mm2 in vital areas dan 670 mm2 in non vital areas then the lead apron cannot be reused.
The results of this research indicate that there are 5 lead aprons with different thicknesses, models, and years of purchase. Maintenance of all lead apron is not done specifically. The test results for apron A have carks of 11,9 mm2, apron B of 1.011,15 mm2, 1.741,5 mm2, 6,3 mm2, 7,5 mm2, 5,2 mm2, and 11,7 mm2, apron C of 3 mm2, apron D of 466,6 mm2 and 33,5 mm2, apron E of 17,8 mm2 and 2,4 mm2. Lead apron A, C and E are still feasible because they have cracks that do not exceed the provions, lead apron B and D are not suitable for reuse because they have cracks exceeding provions, namely 3.14 mm2 in vital areas, and 670 mm2 in non-vital areas.
