PERBEDAAN INFORMASI ANATOMI SEKUEN TSE FAT SATURATION DENGAN TSE DIXON PADA PEMBOBOTAN PROTON DENSITY PEMERIKSAAN MRI SHOULDER JOINT POTONGAN CORONAL OBLIK

Shoulder joints are joints that have broad movements so that pathology is susceptible to emergence. MRI examination is considered more informative in musculoskeletal diagnosis. Proton density Weighted on oblique coronal plane is considered to provide an informative picture, with the presence of complex anatomical structures requiring good fat suppression techniques. A hospital in the city of Semarang using the fat saturation technique, this technique is commonly used because it is considered to be quite informative but produces less fat suppression. While in some hospitals also applying the dixon technique which is very informative in helping diagnoses. The purpose of this study was to determine the differences in anatomical information on the use of fat saturation and dixon sequences on MRI shoulder joint oblique coronal plane and which sequences were better between the two sequences.
This research is a type of quantitative research with an experimental approach. The number of samples used was 10 volunteers which were then assessed by three radiology specialists as respondents. The results of the assessment were processed using the Cohen’s Kappa test to find out the perceived similarities between respondents. Furthermore, the data is processed and analyzed using the Wilcoxon non parametric statistical test to assess whether there is a difference in anatomic information in either sequence.
The results of this study indicate a general differences in anatomical information on MRI shoulder joints oblique coronal plane between sequences of TSE Fatsat and TSE Dixon at Proton Density Weighted, supported by p value
