Background : psychiatric emergencies are disorders of thinking, feeling or behavior that require immediate therapeutic/ treatment intervention / immediate. Psychiatric emergencies can occur at home, on the road, in the office, in the Soul Unit, in Units of general medical illnesses, Surgery Units, in RSU, or even in emergency units. Mental disorders are one of the four major health problems, both in developed and developing countries. According to the World Health Organization World Health Organization (2016) the number of people with mental disorders in the world, about 35 million people were affected, 21 million were affected by schizophrenia, and 47.5 million were affected by dementia. The main problem that often occurs in Schizophrenia patients is violent behavior. The aim is to find out the application of restrain measures to decrease violent behavior. The research method used is Case Study with the design of the pre and post test without control group design. The results of the study in patients under management of Mr. Z (45 years) of the initial PANSS EC score was 35 down to 10 while the RUFFA score which was initially intensive category 1 was in the intensive category 3. The patient under management was Mr. A (42 years) the initial PANSS EC score was 35 down to 14 while the RUFFA Score which was initially intensive category 1 became an intensive category 2. The conclusion is that the application of restrain measures has been shown to be effective in reducing violent behavior in both patients.
