PENGARUH PROGRAM UKGS SISWA KELAS V TERHADAP STATUS DMF-T DI SD WILAYAH KECAMATAN PARAKAN

Dental health center for school (UKGS) provides such services like promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative that are aimed to facilitate the school-aged children in the target schools to obtain a healthy generation. The DMF-T index is growing as the age increases, which is equal to 1.89 on the 12 years old groups, then 2.4 on the 15 years old. Preliminary study has done at Elementary Schools in the working area of Public Health Center of Traji showed that onto the 5th grade students to be examined there were 62% of the students had dental and oral health’s problem. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of UKGS Program towards the DMF-T Status on 5th Grade Students of Elementary Schools at the Region of Parakan Sub-District.
The population of the study is 5th grade students of elementary schools in the working area of Public Health Center of Traji is as many as 268 people. The technique in taking sample on this research is total sampling. The independent variable is UKGS Program and the dependent variable is DMF-T.
The result of this research shows that the DMF-T Index Status on 5th grade students of elementary schools in the working area of Public Health Center of Traji are 76.9% (206 people) in very low level of DMF-T category and the 23,1% (62 people) in low level of DMF-T category. This research’s result gives us conclution that there is influence of the UKGS program towards the DMF-T Status with the result p-value: 0.036 for counseling and the result p-value: 0.007 to do brushing teeth together.
