Perbedaan pH Saliva Sebelum dan Sesudah Mengkonsumsi Buah Mentimun dan Belimbing,
XMLFruit cucumber and starfruit contain fiber, water and vitamin C which when eaten and chewed can help cleanse teeth and mouth that is when chewing will occur a shift in fibers so that it can release food scraps attached to the surface of the teeth that can be used as one efforts to prevent dental caries. In addition, fibrous and watery fruit can stimulate salivary stress. The degree of acidity (pH) of saliva is an intrinsic factor in the formation of dental caries. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in salivary pH before and after consuming cucumber and star fruit.
The research design used is Quasy Exsperiment. The design used a pretest posttest design group with the population in this study were hypertensive Prolanis patients with a total sample of 50 people divided into 2 groups, the first group consumed cucumber fruit and the second group consumed star fruit. Data was analyzed using statistical tests Man-Whitney and Wilcoxon
The results of the Man-Whitney statistical test obtained p = 1.00 so that it can be interpreted that there is no difference in group saliva pH Consuming cucumber and star fruit and the Wilcoxon test results p = 0,000 so that it can be interpreted as a difference in salivary pH before and after consuming cucumber and star fruit .
