ANALISA PERBEDAAN VARIASI TIME INVERSION (TI) TERHADAP KUALITAS CITRA DAN INFORMASI ANATOMI MRI CERVICAL SAGITAL SEKUEN TURBO INVERSION RECOVERY MAGNITUDE (TIRM)

Background : There are many variations of Time Inversion used in the MRI Cervical TIRM Sequence Test On Sagital Slice. According to Moeller (2003) The optimal TI value is 140 ms, whereas according to Westbrook (2011) TI Range on TIRM sequence is 100-175 ms, and the maximum TI setting for TIRM / STIR sequence according to Diehl (2002) is 200 ms, While in RSMC Telogorejo Semarang using TI 170ms. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of TI value variation to image quality and anatomical information, and to know the optimal value of TI in giving optimal anatomical information.
Methods : This research was conducted at RSMC Telogorejo Semarang. This study was conducted on 8 volunteers with 4 variations of Time lnversion (TI) values ie 10ms, 140ms, 170ms, and 200ms. The image results were calculated to obtain SNR and CNR values, the image results were also assessed by 2 respondents including Corpus Vertebrae, Discus, CSF and Medula Spinalis. The result of SNR and CNR then continued with ANOVA test while Respondents assessment result tested Kappa then continued with test of Friedman and Wilcoxon.
Results : The results of this study, showed that there was a difference in image quality and anatomical information of MRI Cervical sagittal pieces of Turbo Inverson Recovery Magnitude (TIRM) sequence with Time Inversion (TI) variations of 100ms, 140ms, 170ms, and 200ms, on the anatomy of Corpus, Discus, Medulla Spinalis, and Cerebro Spinal Fluid (CSF) with p-value: 0.001 (SNR) & 0.001 (CNR) (p
