PENGGUNAAN FLOW COMPENSATION DAN PRE SATURASI PADA SEKUEN T2 FAST SPIN ECHO (FSE) UNTUK MENURUNKAN ARTEFAK MRI VERTEBRA LUMBAL POTONGAN AXIAL

On lumbar vertebral MRI examination, phase artifacts of the aorta and inferior cava vena (IVC), lateral flow of blood vessels in the lumbar, respiration sometimes obscures the lumbar canal (Westbrook, 2014). The use of pre-saturation and flow compensation is usually used on lumbar vertebral MRI examination to reduce artifacts. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of MRI lumbar spine vertebrae of T2 FSE axial sequence between using flow compensation and pre saturation and to know better between the two techniques.
The type of this research is pre-experiment research with static group comparison design done at Ken Saras Hospital on 10 voluntir. Data is presented to 2 Radiology Doctors for assessment using questionnaire. Data analysis was done by using SPSS software with statistical test that is Cohen's Kappa test to know the level of reliability between radiologist and Wilcoxon statistic test to see the difference of artifacts produced.
From the statistical test it is known that there is difference of MRI axial lumbar vertebra artifact between use of flow compensation and pre saturation with p-value 0,023 (p
