Has done research on the influence of valueTime Inversion(TI) variation toCNR value and anatomical information MRI Knee Joint sagital slice of sequence Short Tau Inversion Recovery (STIR). The reason is that the optimal value of TI varies according to the strength of the magnetic field. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of variations in the value of TI to CNR value and anatomical information as well as the optimal TI value to MRI Knee Joint sagital slice of sequence Short Tau Inversion Recovery (STIR) with a 0,4 Tesla MRI plane.
The kind of this research is quantitative research with experimental approaches. The study was conducted with a 0,4 Tesla MRI planes in Tidar Magelang Hospital. Data collection techniques that is experimental, questionnaires and literature studies. Data were images of MRI Knee Joint sagital slice of sequence STIR from five volunteers with 5 variations of TI (50 ms, 70 ms, 90 ms, 110 ms and 130 ms).Image evaluations consist of quantitative, with SNR measurement (at fluid, cortical bone, fat, muscle, ligament dan hyaline cartilage) and CNR measurement (cortical bone with hyaline cartilage,hyaline cartilage with fat, fat with muscle, Fluid with fat, Fluid with ligament and ligament with cortical bone). On the other hand, qualitative aspect was determined by respondents scoring in cortical bone with hyaline cartilage,hyaline cartilage with fat, fat with muscle, Fluid with fat, Fluid with ligament and ligament with cortical bone. Quantitative data were analyzed with correlation Spearman test for theeffect ofvariations inthe valueof TIto the CNR. While respondents assessment of the data analysis with correlation Spearman test and the Kruskal-Wallis test for the mean rank optimal TI.
Results of the research showed that there were no influence of value TI variation to CNR value overall with p value 0,786 (p values> 0,05) with negative correlation. There were no correlation of value TI variation to anatomic information overall with p values 0,059 (p values> 0,05). Optimal TI value generated in the Knee Joint sagittal slice MRI sequences STIR with 0.4 Tesla MRI plane is 90 ms with a mean rank of 22,25.
