PERBEDAAN INFORMASI ANATOMI BRAIN POTONGAN AXIAL PADA SEKUENS T2WI TSE DAN T2WI LONG TE PESAWAT MRI 3,0T

On MRI Brain T2WI sequences, fatty tissue often surrounds anatomical structures which in these pathological conditions can blur the boundary between tumor tissue and normal tissue, fat with high-intensity and tumor tissue that seems often with high-intensity. To overcome this problem, a technique for the problem of fat appears hyperintense in T2WI by extending TE, called Long TE. The Long TE technique means weighting twice from TE effective. Improving TE effective will produce a better image contrast between T2 tissue.
This is a quantitative research with experimental approach. The research was conducted from April to May 2018 at RSUD Saiful Anwar Malang. The variable of this research is independent variable, dependent variable and control variable. The study population were all MRI brain samples with a sample of five patients using data analysis with anatomical information assessment by three respondents. Further data is processed by Kappa test to see the level of agreement of respondents and Wilcoxon Test to see whether there is difference or not in the assessment of anatomy information brain.
The results showed that there were significant differences in anatomic information in axial of T2WI TSE and T2WI Long TE sequences on the assessment of anatomic information on gray matter, white matter, CSF and lesions with a p-value smaller than (p
