Perbedaan variasi nilai velocity encoding (venc) terhadap informasi anatomi arteri magnetic resonance angiography brain pada modalitas MRI 1,5 tesla
XMLExamination of the head blood vessels using MRI or commonly called Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA) requires special techniques. There are several techniques in MRA examination, one of them is MRA Phase Contrast (PC). Phase Contrast is very sensitive to blood flow. To assess blood flow with Phase contrast is strongly influenced by Velocity Encoding (Venc). This value will provide an optimal blood flow image on MRA examination. The Venc value for artery blood vessels according to Westbrook (2011) is 40-60cm/s. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in Venc variation in anatomical information on MRA brain and to find out which value was best used in MRA brain examination.
This research is a quantitative type with an experimental approach. Data collection is done by experiment, observation, assessment and documentation. Experiments were carried out by scanning 10 volunteers using different variations of 15cm/s, 30cm/s, 45cm/s 60cm/s and 75cm/s. Observations are made by looking at the differences that occur in each variation. Then an assessment by a radiology specialist is performed by scoring each anatomy on the variations made. Then performed statistical tests using SPSS 16.0.
The results obtained in the study of variations in the value of Velocity Encoding with a value of 15cm/s, 30cm/s, 45cm/s, 60cm/s and 75cm/s based on the results of statistical tests obtained p value: 0.001
