Background: This study aims to determine the procedures, techniques, reasons and evaluation of 3D-CRT technique for non small cell lung cancer ( case study on neuroendocrine carcinoma ) that has been done in Radiotherapy unit of Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang. This technique is a simple technique for external radiation of non small cell lung carcinoma of stage I and II stomach lying in the lower lobe of the right lung.
Methods: Type of research conducted in this paper is a qualitative research with case study approach, by way of observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. The data obtained are processed by quotation and review the data with appropriate reference to discuss the problems. The conclusion is drawn from the result of the study.
Results: The results showed that 3D-CRT technique for non-small cell lung cancer (case study on neuroendocrine carcinoma) in Dr. Kariadi Semarang consists of several stages, is Radiation Oncologist examination, CT-Simulator examination, deliniation or counturing process, then Treatment Planning System (TPS), Field irradiation and external radiation or irradiation process. The 3D-CRT technique of lung cancer with three fields is a simple technique for external radiation of noncancerous carcinoma of stage I and II stomach lying in the lower lobe of the right lung. This technique is simpler so that faster exposure times, dose distribution for homogeneous volume targets and safe for organs at risk, reduces low-dose baths because using only three irradiation fields, the TPS data acquisition process is simpler.
Conclusion: 3D-CRT technique for non small cell lung cancer ( case study on neuroendocrine carcinoma ) in Radiotherapy unit of Dr. Kariadi Hospital Semarang with three fields is a simple technique aims to get dose distribution for homogeneous volume targets and safe for organs at risk.
