PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PENDIDIKAN KESEHATAN TENTANG INFEKSI MENULAR SEKSUAL (IMS) TERHADAP TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN WANITA PEKERJA SEKS (WPS) DI WILAYAH SARIREJO SALATIGA TAHUN 2018
XMLtransmitted infection is one of the top ten leading causes of diseases in young adult males and the second largest cause young female adult in developing countries. Adults and adolescents (15-24 years) account for 25% of all sexually active populations, but contribute almost 50% of all newly acquired STI cases. the purpose of the study was to The purpose of this study was to determine the level of knowledge of female sex workers (WPS) about sexually transmitted infections (IMS) in the Sarirejo area of Salatiga City. This research will be conducted in the Sarirejo prostitution area in Salatiga. This study uses a correlation method with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study were members of the community of 30 people. Samples were taken by convenience sample. The instrument used was a questionnaire and SAP. Test the normality of the data using the Shapiro-Wilk test.
The results of this study are that there is an increase in WPS knowledge about IMS before and after being given health education with a p value of 0,000. From the results of this study it is expected that the Health Service and health centers provide counseling to increase IMS knowledge about STIs and their prevention so that WPS have a positive attitude to implementation prevention of IMS with increased knowledge of IMS
