Perbedaan Informasi Citra Anatomi MRI CervicalIrisan SagitalPada Variasi Time Echo Sekuen STIR Dengan Indikasi Cervical Syndrome
XMLSTIR as one part of Inversion Recovery which is one of the techniques of Fat Suppression is usually used to decrease the signal from fat and the area that many liquids. One of the primary parameters in STIR is Time Echo. In principle, the selection of TE in STIR aims to suppress fatty tissue signals. According to Moeller and Reif (2003), the TE of STIR used is 30-60 ms, according to Catherine Westbrook (2014) TE in the STIR sequence used at 60 ms, and according to Westbrook and Kaut (2011) TE in the STIR sequence used 50ms. In some hospitals also use a different Time Echo. This study aims to determine the difference of image information on Time Echo variations of STIR sequences, as well as to know the value of Time Echo resulting in optimum image quality and anatomical information on MRI Cervical.
This study was quantitative with experimental approach, the study was started from March to April 2018. The study population was all MRI Cervical examination with indication of cervical syndrome and then measured Signal To Noise Ratio (SNR), Contrast To Noise Ratio (CNR), and anatomical information assessed by respondents. Data analysis using Friedman test and continued with Wilcoxon test.
The results showed that there was difference of image quality and information of MRI Cervical anatomy on Time Echo variation of STIR sequence with p-value of SNR
