PERBEDAAN INFORMASI ANATOMI SEKUENS T2WI FSE DAN T2WI FSE FAT SATURATION PEMERIKSAAN MRI LUMBAL IRISAN AXIAL KASUS ANNULUS FIBROSUS TEARS

Annulus Fibrosus tears or tears occurring in annulus fibrosus of the disc part of intervertebralis is one of the most frequent pathologies in the lumbar vertebral region, Magnetic Resonance Imeging modality to assess annulus fibrosus tears is performed by T2WI FSE sequences axial slices (Suthar, 2015), but in the study conducted (Csillag, 2014) recommended the use of T2WI Fat Saturation axial slices for cases of annular fibrosus tears. This study is a study conducted on Lumbal MRI examination by comparing T2WI FSE sequences with T2WI FSE Fat Saturation. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference of anatomical information between T2WI FSE sequences and T2WI FSE Fat Saturation on axial slices and to find out which sequence is better to reveal anatomical information in the case of annulus fibrosus tears.
This type of research is quasi experimental. The research was conducted at RS Orthopedi Prof DR R Soeharso Surakarta. image results were taken from Lumbal MRI examination in 10 patients with predetermined exclusion and inclusion criteria conducted with T2WI FSE and T2WI FSE Fat Saturation sequences. An image assessment was conducted by 3 respondents regarding the resulting anatomical information. Data analysis used non parametric wilcoxon statistical test.
The result of research shows that there is difference of anatomical information between T2WI FSE and T2WI FSE Fat Saturation sequence with significance p level = 0,001 which means p-value 0,05), and boundary with border line of annulus fibrosus with p-value 0,059 (p> 0,05) except for clarity of tears form from annulus fibrosus difference of anatomical information with p-value 0.020 (p
