Anemia is a condition of a lack of hemoglobin levels from the normal standard (11g / dL). During the puerperium period, anemia is a common occurrence due to a history of anemia during pregnancy, labor, and the release of blood during the maternal period of the mother's thereby increasing the vulnerability of the mother to possible dangers such as immune deficiency and immunity, bleeding, and body difficulty back to its normal state. Based on the survey report, there were 33 cases of maternal mortality rate in 2015 in Grobogan District with 60,90% occurred during puerperium period, most of the postpartum mother had anemia that was caused by bleeding (21,14%) and circulatory system disorder (8,52% ).
The purpose of this study to determine the effectiveness of the addition of Dark Chocolate and Seaweed (Eucheuma Sp) Against Increased Hemoglobin of Anemia in puerperium phase. This research uses Quasi Experiment method with pre and post test design group. Population of postpartum mothers who experienced anemia in February to April with a sample of 34 respondents with Accidental Sampling technique. Data analysis using T-Test dependent test
Based on the result of the research, the measurement of hemoglobin level in the treatment group of 11 respondents had mild anemia, 5 respondents of moderate anemia, and 1 respondent with severe anemia, after treatment was increased with average value 3,26. In the control group of hemoglobin level in the puerperium there was an increase with an average of 1.29. The result of statistical test shows that p = value
