PERBEDAAN INFORMASI CITRA ANATOMI MRI VERTEBRAE CERVICAL POTONGAN SAGITAL PADA SEKUEN SHORT TAU INVERSION RECOVERY (STIR) DENGAN VARIASI PRE SATURATION
XMLPre saturation is a way to reduce artifacts from MRI imagery. Generally radiographers use anterior saturation in MRI vetebrae cervical imaging. By doing a variation of pre saturation is expected to get a better image of MRI. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of image information of anatomy and pre saturation variation which is better on MRI vertebrae cervical.
This type of research is quantitative with an experimental approach. The research was conducted by MRI 3 Tesla in dr. Saiful Anwar Malang. The data were 30 MRI vertebrae cervical images of Short Tau Inversion Recovery (STIR) sequences from 10 participants with 3 pre saturation variations read by 2 radiologists with anatomy assessed: spinal cord, cerebrospinal fluid, corpus vertebrae , intravertebral disc and spinous processus. Analysis to know the difference of information of anatomical image using Wilcoxon different test, to know the variation of pre saturation better by seeing mean rank from Friedman difference test.
The results showed that there were significant differences of anterior and anterior - inferior pre saturation variation p < 0.001; anterior - superior and anterior - inferior p = 0.003; except anterior and anterior - superior p = 0.340. Better pre saturation variations are anterior - inferior variations, as they can saturate swallowing, cerebrospinal fluid, pulsatile, and movements during breathing
