ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN PADA PASIEN POST OPERASI BENIGNA PROSTAT HIPERTROPI (BPH) DENGAN FOKUS STUDI MANAJEMEN NYERI DI RSUD AMBARAWA

Post operative pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience resulting from actual or potential tissue damage. According to Purnomo (2011) the prevalence of postoperative BPH in Indonesia is estimated to be 50% of men aged over 50 years old ie 2.5 million elderly men who have BPH and, the number of post operative cases of BPH in Ambarawa in 2017 were 82 patients. This research was conducted to know nursing care in postoperative patient of BPH with focus of study of pain management at Ambarawa Hospital. The method used is descriptive method with case exposure and using nursing process approach. Results of the study were obtained for 5x24 hours with pharmacological and nonpharmacological measures (benson relaxation) is a problem in patient 1 not resolved and in patient 2 resolved according to established criteria and have different response. Therefore, more attention needs to be paid to the management of pain-comfortable pain disorder by emphasizing nonpharmacology therapy (benson relaxation).
