PENERAPAN SEKUENS T2MAP MR CARTIGRAM UNTUK MENGEVALUASI PROSES DEGENERATIF TULANG RAWAN PADA GENU DI INSTALASI RADIOLOGI RUMAH SAKIT NATIONAL HOSPITAL SURABAYA
XMLBackground:. T2Map MR Cartigram is a good sequence to show cartilage structure of the genus, an ideal to see the change of morfology and increased of fluid in the cartilage with variation of TE (Time Echo) factor changes on cartilage structure. The aim of this study was to find out how the application of the Cartigram MR T2map sequence to evaluate the degenerative process and detect early signs of collagen damage in genuine cartilage before visible defects in routine sequences.
Methods: This research type is survey with descriptive study approach. Retrospective retrospective data in March-June 2017 of 32 patients performing MRI genu fulfilling the maximum 30-year inclusion criteria of 9, Total 9 T2map cartilage genu image selected from axial pieces (Measurement of IS on medial femoro-tibial cartilage ROI.Evaluated by an Experimental Radiologist in musculoskeletal interpretation of MRI images. Observations and interviews with radiographers, MRI appliances specialist and radiologist in data collection. Data analysis is done by interaction model of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, conclusion
Conclusion: The results showed that the application of the addition of T2map MR Cartigram sequence to evaluate the cartilage degenerative process in genu at Radiology Installation National Hospital Surabaya applied to the patients below 30 years old with complaints in the genu area. T2map produce an image with a color map, which uses a quantitative method which generate a base line graph of each TE in use. This MR Cartigram T2map is ideal for showing cartilage images and excellent for screening that be used to determine the early signs of cartilage deseases in the genu that caused by degenerative processes
