PERBEDAAN VARIASI TIME INVERSION (TI) TERHADAP CITRA T1WI TRUE INVERSION RECOVERY (TIR) CORONAL OBLIQUE MRI BRAIN PADA KASUS EPILEPSI
XMLNerve abnormalities in the head such as epileptic nerve abnormalities can be diagnosed in four ways one of them by MRI Brain examination. Selection of precise sequences in MRI Brain Epilepsy is essential for diagnosis. So far the scanning protocol of MRI Brain Epilepsy is with the True Inversion Recovery (TIR) sequence. The use variations of TI on T1WI is to produce the best image contrast. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of Time Inversion variation on T1WI TIR Coronal Oblique MRI Brain image in Epilepsy case and to know the variation of Time Inversion value capable of generating optimum image information as MRI chief reference to complete information of an epileptic nerve abnormality.
This study was a quantitative research using pre-experimental design approach with post test design only group design. This study was conducted at Surabaya Haji Hospital. The data were 12 images of MRI Brain in epilepsy cases with T1WI TIR coronal oblique sequence from 6 patients with two variations of Time Inversion (TI) values of 400 and 600. Anatomical quality image data evaluation was performed by 3 respondents. Data Analysis was performed by Kappa test for of all mean rank 0.00 and Wilcoxon test for see differences.
The results showed that there was a difference in image quality of MRI Brain anatomy in epilepsy cases with T1WI TIR coronal oblique sequence between TI 400 and TI 600 values indicated by p-value less than α (p
