PENGARUH PENGETAHUAN DAN KARAKTERISTIK ORANG TUA TERHADAP MOTIVASI ANAK DALAM TINDAKAN PENCABUTAN GIGI SISWA DI SD NEGERI METESEH KOTA SEMARANG

Dental and oral health problems are specific and common in children one of which is rocking teeth, because rocking teeth occur in many children who enter school age. The role of parents is more required to provide good motivation and direction about the teeth, so that children will be encouraged and not worried or afraid if will be pulled teeth. The purpose of this study to determine the effect of knowledge and characteristics of parents on the motivation of children in the act of extraction of teeth students in SD Negeri Meteseh Semarang City.
This research use analytic survey design with cross sectional approach. Sampling method in this research is determined based on Non-Probability sampling technique with total sampling sampling. This research was conducted in SD Negeri Meteseh Kota Semarang with the number of sapel 64 students using spearmen data analysis method and logistic regression test.
The result of this research shows that there is influence of knowledge to motivation of children where p = 0,008, there is influence of parent age to child motivation where p = 0,021, there is influence of parent education to child motivation where p = 0,030, no influence of parent job to child motivation where P = 0.112. For parents is expected to increase knowledge about tooth extraction and is expected to pay more attention to the cleanliness and dental health of his child.
