BACKGROUND: Magnetic Resonance Cholangiopancreatography (MRCP) is an examination that provides detailed anatomical and
pathological information from the biliary tree and pancreatic duct Which combines cross sectional and projectional technique. 3D Sequences
HR sMRCP, and 2D SSh are techniques for obtaining MRCP imagery. The purpose of this research is to know the difference of image
anatomical information between 3D HR sMRCP sequence and 2D SSh sequence in case of joundice suspect CBD stone.
METHODS: This research type is experiment. This study was conducted by MRI Philips Ingenia 1.5 Tesla plane in Dr. RSAL. Ramelan
Surabaya. The data were 16 MRCP images of 8 patients with a case of joundice suspect CBD stone, sequences used 3D HR sMRCP, and 2D
SSh on MRCP examination.Imagery assessment is done quantitatively in the form of an observer's assessment of anatomical information
including Gall bladder, Cystic Duct, Common Bile Duct, Intra Hepatic Bile Duct, and clarity of stone images. Quantitative data analysis with
Cohens Kappa test, cross tabulation and Wilcoxon test.
RESULT: The results stated that there was no significant difference in overall image information between 3D HR sMRCP sequences and 2D
SSh sequences with p value 0.083 (p> 0.05) and confident level 95%. Gall bladder value p = 0.083; Common bile duct p = 0.059; Cystic Duct
p = 0.063.However there was a significant difference in Intra hepatic Bile Duct with p = 0.034; And stone clarity image p = 0.038. The mean
overall rank value of anatomical image information in 3D Hr sMRCP sequence is higher than the mean rank value of 2D SSh sequence.
Except for the image of clarity of stone, the mean value of 2D SSh 3.00 is superior compared to the mean rank value of 3D Hr sMRCP
sequence of 0.00.
CONCLUSSIONS: In general, 3D Hr sMRCP sequences have better capabilities than 2D SSh sequences in displaying anatomical Biliary tree
image information. But in the image clarity 2D SSh stone is better than 3D Hr sMRCP.
