PENGARUH KOMBINASI MASSAGE EFFLEURAGE DAN KOMPRES HANGAT TERHADAP PERUBAHAN NADI DAN PERNAPASAN IBU BERSALIN KALA I FASE AKTIF DI KLINIK NUR HIKMAH GUBUG KABUPATEN GROBOGAN

The labor causes mother feels discomfort because the labor pain. A mother will be get stress. This pain can be seen at her pulse and respiration. Physiologically the pulse and respiration in the maternity will be increase, but it can makes complications if not controlled. Many techniques have used to reduce labor pain but they are not effective so mothers want to get anesthesia and analgesics.
The purpose of this research is to know the effect of combination of massage effleurage and warm compress on changing pulse and respiration in active phase first stage maternity in Nur Hikmah Gubug Clinic Grobogan District.
This study used quasi experimental with pre test and post test with control group design. The population was primigravida in active phase first stage maternity at Nur Hikmah Gubug Clinic Grobogan District from May to 10 June 2017. The sample taken 22 people used purposive sampling. Data analyzed used independent sample t test for the pulse and Mann Whitney for the respiration.
The results showed that there was effect combination of massage effleurage and warm compress on changing pulse and respiration in active phase first stage maternity with ρ value 0,0001.
From the results, combination of massage effleurage and warm compresses can be applied when supervision inpartu by the midwife and can be done by patientes assisted by her husband/ family.
