Pregnancy, delivery and postpartum is a physiological process, but the process is not little women experience health problems which can increase the amount of morbidity and mortality of mothers and babies. Based on data from the Indonesian Demographic and Health Survey (IDHS) in 2015 showed that the maternal mortality rate (MMR) in Indonesia is 305 / 100,000 live births and the infant mortality rate (IMR) of 22,23 / 1,000 live births. MMR in central java in 2015 based on reports from district or city is 111,16/100.000 live births, while IMR was 10,/1.000 live births. MMR in Demak district in 2015 is 106,46/100.000 live births while IMR was 7,2/1.000 live births.
Writing scientific papers in the form of case studies with implementation of midwifery care in a comprehensive manner that includes the process of pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and newborn using the approach of the 7 step process obstetrics varney. The research use technic observation, in dept interview, and documentation.
The research results obtained G1P0A0 diagnosis of gestational age 39 weeks pregnant with physiological, spontaneous delivery without complication with tear perinium degree II, the baby in a normal state, during childbirth and physiological KB. In pregnancy no gaps are not found, the mother suffered only common complaint experienced by mothers in the third trimester, such as frequent aches. At the time of delivery gaps that IMD is only done 30 minutes, while in theory be done for 1 hour. On postpartum visits and infant visits conducted over the minimum trip limits. Family care plan is given on day 40 post partum and mother decided to use KB injecting 3 months.
The conclusion of this report find gaps between theory and practice of midwifery care in the workplace. There are gaps in the planning and in the process of care measures.
