Pregnancy process, delivery, postpartum is normal process. In these processes, many mothers experience the health issue which can increase the amount of infant morbidity and mortality. The success of health care and development program is measured from the Maternal Mortality Rate (AKI) and Infant Mortality Rate (AKB). A midwife, who serves the health of mothers and infants, must give continuity midwifery care to the patients. This research used a case study design of midwifery process approach with varney’s seven steps and SOAP documentation.
The category of this paper is kualitatif research with descriptive methode. All of this paper use kualitatif descriptive methode.The result of this study obtained diagnosis G2P1A0 gestational age 37 weeks physiological pregnancy with complain of frequently urination at night and pain of back, physiology delivery which was followed by psychological postpartum period, no complaint. In pregnancy care, there wasn’t asymmetry between the theory and practice. There wasn’t asymmetry between the theory and practice in the delivery care although it was carried out 58 steps APN. In postpartum period, there wasn’t asymmetry between the theory and practice.There wasn’tasymmetry in newborn baby care between the theory and finding in the field.
The result of this case study is in applying comprehensive midwifery care in the field is important and it can be concluded that there wasn’t asymmetry between the theory and practice. The planning of care was relation with carrying out the care.
