ASUHAN KEPERAWATAN BAYI BERAT BADAN LAHIR RENDAH (BBLR) DENGAN GANGGUAN TERMOREGULASI (HIPOTERMIA) DI RUANG PERINATOLOGI RSUD PANDAN ARANG BOYOLALI

Low birth weight babies (LBW) is a condition of babies who are born weighing less than 2,500 grams. The biggest cause of death of LBW is hypothermia (body temperature below 36,50C) in addition to asphyxia and infection. Hypothermia is a danger sign because it can cause a change of body metabolism, which ultimately leads to failure of heart, lung and death functions, where neonatal mortality contributes to 59% of infant deaths. One of the measures that can be taken is the treatment of Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC), because the mother is a good source of heat for the baby, so this will reduce mortality due to hypothermia. However, the emotional expression of the mother when she finds the baby's low birth weight is sad, shocked and feels unwilling to see and even carry, so there needs to be support from her husband.
The purpose of writing is to analyze the nursing care of low birth weight baby (BBLR) with thermoregulation disorder (hypothermia) in Perinatology Room of RSUD Pandan Arang Boyolali. The design of writing used is case study, where case study subjects are 2 clients of LBW with thermoregulation disorder (hypothermia).
Case-taking technique of case study, conducted by Non-Random or Non-Probability Sampling. The results showed that the increase in body temperature in the First Client 35,20C to 36,60C and on the Second Client 35,80C to 37,30C, where the increase in body temperature in infants is known by the factor of age, weight, KMC, nutritional intake (ASI), and environmental conditions, in addition to the mother feel confident and spirit to be able to do KMC after getting support from husband.
Suggestions for research is to perform maintenance KMC is not only limited in the hospital, but on the way home can continue, in addition to the hospitals Pandan Arang Boyolali can perform the method Warm Chain or ten protectionist measures thermal to prevent hypothermia in newborn in accordance with the SOP.
