PENGARUH AKUPRESUR DAN EFFLEURAGE DALAM MENGURANGI NYERI PERSALINAN KALA I FASE AKTIF

Background:Labor is the process of movement of the birth of the fetus, placenta and the uterus membranes through the birth canal. Pain during labor is a physiological process. The pain of labor is a manifestation of the contraction (shortening) of the uterusmuscles. Contraction causes pain in the waist, abdominal area and the pain is spread towards the thigh. Some pharmacological techniques that can reduce the laborpain are acupressure and effleurage.
Study Objective : To prove the effect of accupressure and effleurage in reducinglabor pain during the active phase of the first stage of labor at Kawunganten Public Health CenterCilacap.
Study Methods: This study was an experimentalstudy with the type of Quasi Experiment with pretest-posttest with control group design. The samples were women in the active phase of the first stage of labor with a cervix dilation of 4-8cm, as many as 33 respondents who were collected with simple random sampling technique. Data analysis consisted of univariate, bivariate with One Way ANOVA
Study Results:The difference in the labor pain leveldifference mean before and after the intervention in the control group and the intervention group showed that there was a greater influence of acupressure treatment that was indicated by the higher pain level difference compared to other groups.
Conclusion: The difference in the labor pain leveldifference mean before and after the intervention in the control group and the intervention group showed that there was an effect of acupressure on the decline of labor pain level of the respondents.
