Pengaruh Penyuluhan Menyikat Gigi Menggunakan Metode Demonstrasi terhadap Skor Debris pada Anak Autis Slb Kota Semarang

Counseling is one effort to prevent dental and oral health issues through extension program is expected to increase knowledge and awareness of the community so participate and actively in improving health status. Demonstration is one way of presenting the information accompanied by the use of props and media as a tool of material delivery. The purpose of this research is to know the influence of brushing counseling using the demonstration method to index debris score in autistic children of SLB Semarang City.
The research method used is quasi experiment or quasi experiment using one group pretest posttest design. The population in this study is autism children SLB Semarang City as many as 13 children. The data analyst used is descriptive quantitative presented in the form of tables and graphs and conclusions. Data on brushing action on respondents is made in the form of frequency distribution.
The results showed there was a decrease in index debris after brushing. Debris index before brushing 2.1 and after brushing 0.9 so the difference is 1.2. The conclusion of this research counseling using demonstration method in children with autism SLB Semarang City tend to give effect to decreasing index debris score.
